GMC doesn’t make a single model that earns below a three out of five for predicted reliability, and only two models earned a three: the Canyon and the Yukon. The Sierra 1500 is the most reliable full size pickup truck in our rankings, with a four, and the Terrain, at 4.5, is our most reliable compact SUV.

iammrmail The CR surveys are garbage. It’s never an even test with them Bug S Bunny The term “reliable” varies from person to person, which is why CR’s studies can be reasonably and logically ignored. david Considering the difference in who and how these cars are driven… results are useless Anthony Brush Hyundai has enhanced its styling and finish in most of its models, now the performance is tantamount with Toyota and Honda. Mike Williams Audi #4 Yeah Right. Sukhoi31m3 The A3 ranked below average…. isn’t it just a gussied up VW? That would explain it. Sukhoi31m3 Agreed! My sister, step mother and niece all drive Hyundais (lots of them over the years) with no fuss out them at all. Roll them 100k miles then re-up. To top it off, they get good trade in value when they go get their next new Hyundai. My next new car may very well be a Hyundai or Kia. Michael Patrick Wood Had a ’66 SS 396/325. The Soul is Kia’s most reliable offering, with its score of 4.5 out of five. There is a lot to like about the Soul, so it comes as no surprise that it was the winner of our 2017 Best Compact Car for the Money and Best Compact Car for Families awards. The entire minivan class earns low reliability ratings overall, and the Kia Sedona follows suit, with its score of 2.5.

Lexus takes the crown as the most reliable car brand, according to J.D. Power. There are a total of six vehicles in our rankings that achieve perfect reliability scores, and Lexus is the maker of three of those. The Lexus GS, GS Hybrid, and LS all achieved the top predicted reliability rating. However, the Japanese luxury automaker has one blemish: Its Lexus IS luxury small car received a three, which is still “about average.”
