Dude Your Car

It’s almost April 1st and you know what that means. Time to revert to being adolescent kids and pranking your friends and coworkers by any means possible. Thankfully, fooling your friends has gone digital and owning an iPhone can make it easy to pull off the ultimate pranks this year with some clever new apps. Developer Mobilaga has created Dude, Your Car!, a clever little app that will offer you the enjoyment of watching your friends react to pictures of their demolished rides. Dude, Your Car! is a photo editing app that gives your automobile a vandalized makeover. By taking a picture of the car and importing it into the app, you can insert dents, scratches and broken glass to very realistic effect. The process is fairly simple and the resulting image can be good enough to fool any unsuspecting friend. Once you’ve imported your image to the app, simply draw a circle on the area of the car you want damaged. From there you can choose from 18 different effects and adjust the color and lighting of the photo to give it the most realistic look possible. Once you’re done, you can save the image to your photo gallery or email it to your victim and await the wrath of your buddy. For the 99 cent asking price, Dude, Your Car! can deliver a pretty good result if you want a cheap and fun way to get your friends this April 1st. If you’re interested in just giving the app a try, there is a free version available to test the features but you won’t be able to save your finished product. Dude, Your Car! and Dude, Your Car! Free are available now on the App Store. Just remember to prank your friends with a forgiving sense of humor.

Here’s one of those “Why didn’t I think of that?” moments for you; a phone app that allows users to snap a picture of a car and Photoshop a fire or damages into the image. The iPhone app is called “Dude, your car!” and it was developed by Alexander Attarian who will charge you a $0.99 fee to downloaded it from the iTunes shop. YouTuber Dennis Roady Deeds used it to prank (….and to promote the app, of course, of course) a bunch of luxury and supercar owners and sales people into thinking that their precious ride was on fire. Watch how the hoax played out in the video below. Photo Gallery Video

Jesse and Chester awaken with hangovers and no memory of the previous night. The television is on, showing an Animal Planet program about how animals use twigs and rocks as tools to get food. Their refrigerator is filled with containers of chocolate pudding, and the answering machine contains an angry message from their twin girlfriends Wilma and Wanda as to their whereabouts. They emerge from their home to find Jesse’s car missing, and with it their girlfriends’ one-year anniversary presents. This prompts Jesse to ask the film’s titular question: “Dude, where’s my car?”

In 2012, the Pittsburgh Pirates started using the “Zoltan” hand signal from the film as a way for players to congratulate their teammates after an accomplishment such as a home run or a double play. The habit started after the Pirates (in particular Neil Walker) were watching Dude, Where’s My Car? in the visiting clubhouse at Turner Field in Atlanta during an April 2012 weekend series against the Atlanta Braves. After a Twitter campaign to encourage the “real” Zoltan to appear at a game, Hal Sparks flew to Pittsburgh on July 25, 2012 to throw out the ceremonial first pitch, and was on hand to see the Pirates win 3–2 over his hometown team, the Chicago Cubs. Also there to support the team was Hal’s girlfriend, Summer Soltis, whose family is from the area and are Pirates fans themselves. Despite picking up a cult following in Pittsburgh and helping the team contend in the playoff race well into September, the Pirates finished with a 79–83 record, extending their major North American professional sports record to 20 consecutive losing seasons.

A sequel titled Seriously Dude, Where’s My Car? was in development for years, but never came to be. The first movie was a breakthrough role for Ashton Kutcher, allowing him to transition from That ’70s Show to movie stardom. The sequel was scheduled to begin filming in 2003. Scott was interested in the sequel, but Kutcher shot the idea down before filming could begin.

As a kid, the first car repair I learned was how to change the oil and filter on the family’s trusty ’69 Chevy wagon and ’70 Beetle. My sisters were also taught this skill, and at least one of them still regularly changes her car’s oil. The Castrol division of petro giant BP wants to eliminate this learning curve, along with the associated tools, drop cloths, catch basins, rags, and Lava soap. Instead, it’ll replace it all with a product called Nexcel.

Balked, the five alien women merge to become a giantess played by Jodi Ann Paterson who swallows Tommy alive. The giantess then crawls out of the amusement center and chases Jesse and Chester. The cultists tell them to activate the Photon Accelerator Annihilation Beam on the Transfunctioner. However, the button that activates it is too far in to reach. At the last second, Chester remembers the nature show with the tool-using chimps and uses a straw to push the recessed button, thus destroying the alien. The protectors thank Jesse, Chester and the twins for saving the world, and erase their minds concerning the events. The protectors park the duo’s car, a Renault Le Car, behind a mail truck for them to find the following morning. Jesse and Chester salvage their relationships with the twins and discover the special treat from the girls turns out to be matching knitted caps and scarves. The protectors leave a gift for their girlfriends (and, for the two men): Breast Enhancement Necklaces.

Another environmental benefit is the ability to filter, clean, and re-refine used oil back to the same grade of lubricant because it always arrives utterly uncontaminated by oils of differing grades or feed stocks (synthetic or petro). Because oil collected at Jiffy Lube and Pep Boys invariably includes a mishmash of oils (perhaps mixed with some steering or brake fluid), 90 percent of it gets reused as heating oil, in asphalt, or in other lower-grade petroleum products. Castrol claims that if every car’s spent oil could be reused as engine oil, more than 50 million barrels of virgin oil would be saved annually. Because most folks who change their oil perform their math by the quart, not the barrel, that represents 8.4 billion quarts of dead dinosaurs we won’t need to suck out of the earth every year.

Jesse: Wait a second, let’s recap. Last night, we lost my car, we accepted stolen money from a transsexual stripper, and now some space nerds want us to find something we can’t pronounce. I hate to say it, Chester, but maybe we need to cut back on the shibbying.
